Description
Denials Management Specialist
Minimum Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent.
Must have 4 years of healthcare related experience consisting of collections, 3rd party billing & collections, denials management, and technical appeals.
Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and other contract payers (HMO, PPO) preferred.
CPAR (Certified Patient Account Representative) and/or CPFC (Certified Patient Financial Counselor) preferred for positions in clinic/hospital setting.
Typing skills with a minimum of 35 wpm and good communication skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Should be proficient in Microsoft Office, with heavy exposure to patient accounting software and applications.
Must be familiar with payer regulatory policies, medical terminology, and payment and adjustment calculations.
Work collaboratively with physician offices, Patient Access, Utilization Review, HIM and facility clinicians to correct deficiencies in a timely manner.
Demonstration of conflict resolution and mediation skills.
Decision making, problem solving skills, critical thinking and listening skills required.
Must be able to adapt to competitive ever changing work environment.
Financial Counselor
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent and minimum of 3 years healthcare experience required OR any combination of equivalent education and experience.
Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and other managed care payors (HMO, PPO, etc.)
Patient Account Representative
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Two (2) years of collections, billing, and/or registration experience in a healthcare or insurance setting OR any combination of equivalent education and experience.
Certified Patient Accounts Representative (CPAR) and/or Certified Patient Financial Counselor (CPFC) preferred for positions in the hospital setting.
Typing skills with a minimum of 35 wpm and good communication skills.
Patient Access Representative
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Must have at least 2 years healthcare related or customer service experience.
Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and other commercial payers (HMO, PPO) preferred.
Associate or bachelor degree may be accepted in lieu of experience.
Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA) preferred.
Typing skills with a minimum of 35 wpm and good communication skills.
Revenue Cycle Specialist
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree with two years of relevant experience; OR any combination of equivalent education and experience.
Certified Patient Accounts Representative (CPAR) and/or Certified Patient Financial Counselor (CFC). If not certified, must be obtained within eighteen months of employment.
Training Specialist
Minimum Qualifications:
Must have a bachelors degree or equivalent relevant experience.
Minimum of 2 years of training experience required.
