Overview

LMI is seeking an Acquisition Analyst with experience in software-centric program management to support the Health Information Systems program management office under the Office of Health Security (OHS). The OHS leads DHS efforts in protecting the health of their workforce and the homeland. A successful candidate will be a professional, highly organized, detail oriented self-starter who takes initiative and enjoys working in a fast paced, team oriented environment. The candidate must be able to obtain DHS Suitability. This is a position that can be supported remotely.

Responsibilities

Work in a dynamic and fast-moving environment

Apply DHS acquisition lifecyle framework in support of a software-centric development program

Assist government in adopting Agile practices

Manage and mitigate risks and issues

Streamline processes/business process improvement

Draft acquisition documents for information technology programs

Have familiarity with Project Management Institute project management practices, including to implement as well as train/educate other analysts as needed

Support financial analysis in government environment

Report project status/progress, schedule, and risk information to government leadership

Be able to communicate and support in building partnerships with industry representatives

Serve as a leader of a large program/projects that affect the organization’s long-term goals and objectives

Qualifications

Master's degree

Minimum of 10 years of work experience

Ability to obtain DHS Suitability

Excellent communications skills (oral and written)

Knowledge in Agile methodology (Scrum and/or Kanban)

Experience in supporting software-centric, developmental programs that apply Agile methodology (Scrum and/or Kanban)

Experience in program risk management

Knowledge in DHS or DoD acquisition management process highly preferred
