Title: Data and Compliance Specialist

Location: Coos Bay, OR

Program: Essential Services (Focus in Utilities/WX/Apartments, SSVF)

Reports to: Essential Services Director

Job Description

PRIMARY PURPOSE:

To ensure data quality, compliance, and procedures among staff.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS (Reason position exists is to perform these functions):

Enter client and program data into systems

Access system reports to ensure data quality.

Review Applications for Compliance and Accuracy

Routinely monitor program files to ensure compliance and that procedures are being followed.

Write routine reports and correspondence.

Communicate effectively both orally and in writing.

Participate in program start-up activities and year-end closeouts.

Serve as active team member in all services programs.

Follow verbal and written instructions.

Learn and maintain working knowledge of job specific computer programs.

Interact with the public, other staff, and partners in a cooperative manner.

Interacting with community partners to enhance ORCCA programs

Other Responsibilities include:

Attending compliance trainings and seminars and disseminating trainings to ORCCA staff

Maintain basic knowledge of other Essential Service Programs.

All other tasks as assigned by supervisor

INDIVIDUAL EXPECTATIONS:

Communicate with supervisor regarding any needed changes or concerns with work schedule.

Adhere to agency procedures as a mandated child abuse reporter.

Regular attendance is a requirement of the position.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABLILITIES:

Must have excellent communication skills and telephone etiquette.

Must understand and be able to adhere to basic email etiquette.

Must have basic computer skills including navigating files, composing emails, using internet search engines.

Must have positive outlook and be able to work with people in crisis.

Must be customer service oriented.

Ability to work as part of a team or alone.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

Highschool diploma or equivalent

A minimum of one-year paid experience directly related to the Position Description is preferred.

Experience using Microsoft Word and Excel required.

Experience with data systems preferred.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Geographic Area: Coos and Curry Counties Primary worksite: Coos Bay, Oregon

May lift items up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodations.

Access to indoor office, in a climate-controlled environment; may not have access to sunlight. Regular activities outside in a non-climate-controlled environment.

Regular kneeling, bending, stooping and sitting on the floor.

Regular walking and standing for prolonged periods of time.

Occasional events outside of the office at irregular hours will be required.

Attendance at off-site staff training events will be required.

Driving to sites on a regular basis throughout Coos and Curry Counties will be required.

OTHER:

A current Oregon Driver’s License is required.

Proof of automobile liability insurance [at] $100,000/300,000 liability limits and maintain such limits.

Reliable transportation for getting to work.

Must be free from illegal drugs, may be subject to suspicion testing.
