Summary/Objective:

The Vice President (VP), Applications Engineering sets the vision for and leads the Application Development, Systems Analyst, Quality Assurance, Architecture and Business Intelligence Teams. You will be responsible for consistently delivering meaningful features, applications and technology solutions that support efficiency and solve business problems. You will build and communicate a strong long-term technology strategy that aligns with the company’s strategic plan and influences the overall company direction. You will ensure our architecture is flexible and scalable to allow for growth. You are a key member of the IT leadership team and must be able to effectively collaborate across the departments within IT, with executives, the Board and business partners across the enterprise, and internal and external vendor partners.

Essential Functions include:

Develop and implement in collaboration with the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and Enterprise Architect a modernized, transformational applications strategy

<span style="text-decoration: line-through;"> Communicate technical information and architecturally significant change requests to the executive level in plain language to advise of the technological impact on current and future processes, products, and services; communication may involve motivating or influencing organizational leaders<span style="text-decoration: line-through;">

Create and enforce methodologies to standardize the integration of different technologies, processes, tools, and architectures into a stable and effective technology platform

Ensure that software integration into company systems meets business and technical requirements, system compliance, and interface specifications

Foster partnerships across the enterprise as well as influence and collaborate with cross-functional team members in other areas of the organization

Construct measurement methods to monitor progress toward goals

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current and potential vendors, security and data privacy awareness, improved development processes, and technology trends

Reports to:&nbsp;

Chief Technology Officer (CTO)

Manages:

Application Development, Systems Analyst, Quality Assurance, Architecture and Business Intelligence teams

Required Education and Experience:

BS or MS in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or equivalent

15+ years of relevant technical experience, including 8+ years in a leadership role

10 years of progressively responsible relevant experience in business intelligence and data architecture, including creating partnerships, implementing BI and data integration strategies, and understanding the underlying technologies needed to enable productivity and innovation

Advanced expertise in cloud technologies

Proven experience developing and implementing enterprise wide, high-availability architecture design patterns and applications in an Agile environment

Preferred Education and Experience:

ITIL certification

Experience in the project management Scrum framework

Experience with banking technology systems such as core systems, online and mobile banking, payments, lending and deposit applications

Experience with leading and governing an enterprise API strategy

Experience with leading DevOps initiatives and teams

Work Environment:

Elevations uses multi-factor authentication to keep our data safe. As such, a personal smart phone is a requirement for employment with us. This job operates in an office setting and routinely uses standard office equipment.

Physical Requirements:

Sitting frequently, walking occasionally, use of hands frequently, hearing constantly, talking frequently, exerting up to 10 lbs of force occasionally to lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects.

We value human relationships and are a face-to-face culture, but allow for remote work <span style="text-decoration: underline;">as long as our employees are onsite the majority of the time.

Compensation:

The midpoint of the budgeted range is $195,808 + annual bonus. The candidate's starting salary will be adjusted based upon his, her, or their experience.
