SANITATION SUPERVISOR - LOUISVILLE, KY

Job Summary:

Manages activities of workers engaged in sanitation duties the manufacturing facility. Inspects materials, equipment, and plant for conformity to federal and state sanitation laws and plant standards. Inspects premises for unsanitary practices and conditions. Directs cleaning of equipment and work areas. Closely interacts with management and production personnel on sanitation problems, and recommends changes in equipment, plant layout, lighting, ventilation, or work practices to improve sanitation standards. Compiles required reports regarding regular inspections, sanitation violations, and steps taken to correct deficiencies. Manages CES and PEM Programs. Backup; Customer Quality Manager

Position Responsibilities:

Acts as a primary resource to production team to help drive continuous improvement and results in the areas of Safety, Quality, Cost, Productivity, Delivery, and Engagement.Develops and drives sanitation strategy at plant level. Identifies long-term goals, leverages resources, and delivers objectives through cross-functional alignment.Leads and engages team members to in improve systems, processes, and procedures.Ensures adherence to master sanitation schedule, responsible for revisions and additions to master sanitation scheduleParticipate in development, auditing, maintain Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures for all sanitation activities.Coaches team in personal accountability, giving and receiving feedback, root cause analysis, problem solving, decision making, trade-off analysis, interpersonal communications, and external interactionsTroubleshoots problems and implements corrective actions through root cause analysis.Seeks and provides resources for team and provides necessary training that will assist the team in reaching its goals.Conducts frequent Safety coaching and leads implementation of safe work practices.Leads team in tracking and understanding Key Performance Indicators, Gap Analysis, and creating action plans to address performance gaps.Reinforces key concepts everyday through coaching and auditing of team members.Provides frequent informal and periodic formal job performance feedback to team.Manages third party contract services for sanitation services, sanitation chemicals, pest control, laboratory testing, etc. to ensure delivery of contract and drive for continuous improvement.Maintain proper inventories to provide proper tools and supplies required for sanitation activities in the facility.Tracks sanitation costs and manages department as a business, including development of annual department budget.Oversees clean equipment swab (CES) program, Environmental Monitoring (PEM) program, and directs corrective actions as necessary.

Position Requirements:

Minimum three (3) years' experience as a sanitation supervisor overseeing high performance teams. Working knowledge of production equipment and systems including maintenance activities.Knowledge of the food and beverage industry.Strong attention to detail.Detailed knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safety protocols.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Ability to design and implement training programs.Excellent communication skills including oral, written, and listening.Broad understanding of environmental monitoring program
